Nestling in 14 acres of Peak District National Park, this was a position chosen for one of the earliest settlements in Derbyshire.

Here in 1259 Sir Richard de Hartle was issued a Papal Bull by Pope Alexander II allowing him to appoint his own chaplain, what was the original Hall House became a Chapel and was used as a place of worship until 1546.

Harthill Hall's luxury holiday cottages and leisure facilities, with the treasures of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth close by, are just three miles from the historic market town of Bakewell. This makes its central location ideal for either exploring the wonders of the Peak district, taking a tranquil holiday or a short mini holiday break.

Surrounding the dramatic cobbled courtyard, the listed buildings have been carefully converted with much thought and consideration being taken to retain many of the original features. These include massive oak beams; mullion windows and flag stone floors, the interiors are bold and furnished with antiques collected by the owners Nicola and Peter Bunting. Peter is a noted antique dealer - see his website at: www.countryoak.co.uk.
